Four exciting postdocs in Ecology and Evolution at Washington University in St. Louis!

Sometimes it isn’t just the project that attracts a postdo to a lab but it is the community. It isn’t easy to tell what that community is like sometimes, so here we share. Four of us are looking for postdocs in EEB at Wash U! We already have quite a few postdocs that this new cohort will be joining. It should be fun. Find what you love from the labs of Michael Landis, Rachel Penczykowski, Liz Mallott, Joan Strassmann or David Queller. We are all excited to meet you!

After all, besides the excellence of the projects, there is amazing St. Louis where the restaurants are innovative, the town historic, and the prices low. Why, one of our grad students bought the house he lived in close to campus.Whatever you care about is likely to be available in our area. I love hiking and am glad our state parks are free. A favorite trail is Lewis and Clark, about 22 minutes from my home. I take the 7 mile loop at quite a pace (for me) when I’m trying to get in shape for skiing or climbing to Choquequirao. We do outreach at Ferguson Farmer’s Market to share science with others, but also love going there for the produce and the music. There are places I like to go for weekend menudo, though I know this Mexican tripe stew is not to everyone’s taste. Forest Park has weekend concerts, balloon races, and much more. St. Louis is a gem. It also has both our outstanding university and many other research powerhouses like Missouri Botanical Gardens, the Danforth Plant Science Center, St. Louis University, University of Missouri at St. Louis, and a lot of biotech.
